Minutes of the Regular Monthly Meeting of the Libertarian Party of San
Francisco held on March 10, 2012 at Cybelle's Pizza located at 1385
Ninth Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94122 at 9th Avenue and Judah.
The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Aubrey Freedman at
3:05 PM. Present were Aubrey Freedman, Michael Edelstein, Sam Sloan,
Marcy Berry, Chris Cook, Michael Minton and Starchild. Robyme
Merguerdijian and Arden Van Upp arrived later.
There was a discussion of the resignation of Mike Denny as secretary.
Sam Sloan was elected secretary by unanimous vote.
Two new members joined and their dues were collected.
Announcements were made of the efforts by the members to advance the
cause of liberty. Marcy Berry discussed her posts on Facebook. Chris
Cook discussed his interest in causes in Uganda. Michael Edestein had
arranged two dinners, Aubrey Freedman had attended the California
Republican Party Convention and reported that some Republicans were
“not too bad”. Sam Sloan described his court case against Bank of
America. Starchild had attended various events. He wants to cap city
salaries at $100,000,
There was a lengthy discussion about the location of these meetings.
In the past these meetings have been held at the San Francisco Public
Library. However, this meeting was held at Cybelle's Pizza because
the chairman wanted a less formal, more comfortable setting. An
alternative proposed meeting place was the Thai Restaurant. Following
this discussion, a vote was taken. The vote was 4 for the library, 2
for the Thai Restaurant and one abstention. Therefore, it was resolved
that all meetings will take place at the Library for the rest of the
A Treasurers Report was presented. Balance in the bank is $4,554.42.
There was discussion of the Pride weekend on June 23-24. Starchild and
Aubrey Freedman reported on the State Convention in Ventura California
and on the forthcoming National Convention in Las Vegas.
Aubrey Freedman spoke about Agenda 21 and Oath Keepers.
Aubrey Freedman requested that members attend a hearing on April 10 on
Possibilities for a tax day protest on April 15 were discussed.
Aubrey Freedman discussed JSA Tabling in Santa Clara on April 21 with
the LP in Monterey County.
Discussion was held of the Pride Booth for June 23 and 24. Sign-ups
