About LPSF

The Libertarian Party of San Francisco (LPSF) is the local affiliate of Libertarian Party of California. The Libertarian Party of California is divided into regions, which for the most part mean counties. The LPSF is region 38. Our neighboring regions are the Marin County LP, the East Bay Region LP, and the San Mateo County LP.

The Libertarian Party of California is itself an affiliate of the national Libertarian Party.

Qualification for membership in the LPSF is simple - anyone who pays the annual membership fee and signs the non-initiation of force statement is a member (unless prohibited for cause - see our bylaws). All members of the LPSF are automatically members of the Central Committee. Central Committee members have one vote in our general meetings, if present. Central Committe members are eligible to become officers and directors of the LPSF.

The LPSF currently has four elected officers, and nine appointed directors. The officers are:

  • Chair
  • Vice-Chair
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer

The directors are:

  • Activities Chair
  • Contributions Chair
  • Database Manager
  • Elections Chair
  • Information Services/Web Chair

The Libertarian Party of San Francisco meets for official business on the second Saturday of each month, from 3 to 5 p.m.  We have moved to a new location, the San Francisco Main Library at 100 Larkin, just outside the Civic Center BART/Muni station on Market Street..  The specific meeting room may change from month to month, so we will post it on our Announcements list, or you can check with Library Information.
